Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) & Early Scent Introduction (ESI)

Simple interactions early in a puppy’s life may increase its ability to learn and cope successfully with stress and promote healthier outcomes.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves applying gentle stressors to a very young animal for short periods of time, is thought to improve their stress responses later in life.

The link between stress and activation of the endocrine system is well known. The release of glucocorticoids (a class of stress hormones) from the adrenal cortex following stress affects many processes in the body. These changes are the basis for the body’s “fight or flight” response. The effects of controlled, short-term, mild stressors can be beneficial, creating “robustness” in the body and responses to different environments and situations.

Studies have shown the benefits ENS has on growing and maturing puppies. A few of the benefits include:

  • Stronger heart beats

  • Strong adrenal glands

  • Improved stress tolerance

  • Greater resistance to disease

We absolutely love all of our puppies and we put our heart and soul into providing the best possible care to each and every one. They will receive the highest quality kibble and treats, developmental and interactive toys, and socialization.
